Styled portraits and dance sessions are built around story, dreams, and intention. Each experience is carefully designed in advance, allowing you to arrive and be fully present while a new world unfolds around you. I. Begin with a consultation
Every session starts with a conversation. We will talk through your vision, what draws you to being photographed, and how you want to feel when you see these images on your wall years from now— whether that's soft, powerful, otherworldly, or quietly magical.
This call allows us to dream, align, and ensure your session feels thoughtful, collaborative, and entirely tailored to you.
II. The world takes shape
Once we have settled on a theme or story, I begin to design the world your session will live in— selecting wardrobe, locations, and props that support the narrative we've crafted together. You'll see ideas as they come together, with space to offer feedback along the way, but without the pressure of decision-making.
By the time your session arrives, everything is in place. All you have to do is step in— like the opening chapter of a favorite fairytale— and let the story unfold.
III. Step into the story
When you arrive, the world we've imagined becomes real. Your session is calm, intentional, and unrushed. I'll offer gentle direction and movement prompts, guiding you through the space while allowing moments of spontaneity and emotion to surface naturally.
Whether through stillness or motion, the focus is on presence— creating images that feel lived-in, expressive, and true.
IV. The story, remembered
As you return to the ordinary world, I will carefully curate and artistically edit your images with a timeless, editorial approach. Artful images take time to develop, but I know how excited you will be to see them and relive the magic of the day! You will receive a handful of high resolution sneak peeks within a week, with your final gallery and storybook following shortly after.
These are not just photographs. They are keepsakes of a story you once lived, and can return to again and again.

What are Limited Edition Sessions?
These are a condensed version of my regular portrait and dance sessions where I design a set around a predetermined theme and open it up to multiple people spaced throughout the day. This allows the cost to be shared among the various participants for those looking for a bit of luxury at a more budget-friendly price.
As the name suggests, spots are limited, so don't sleep on any stories that spark your imagination!

What is a storytelling session?
I specialize in styled sessions for the young and young at heart. These sessions are designed to bring out your inner child and make your daydreams reality. Together we will come up with a story or theme and I will style your shoot—through wardrobe, unique locations, and props— to make what you imagined a reality.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Colorado Springs and am available to travel anywhere in the United States. Special pricing is available for shoots requiring travel which includes the cost of my travel, so there will be no surprise fees.
What should I expect once I book with you?
Once you book your session, we will set up a time to chat and discuss a story or theme for your session. Perhaps you wish to be a princess or a mermaid. How about a vintage picnic or playing your cello against an epic backdrop? Once we have settled on a look, we will decide on a date and I will set to work finding wardrobe, props, setting, etc. to bring your story to life. I will keep you updated on what I find to make sure I am on the right track, but otherwise you only need to show up and have fun.
What is the storybook that is included with portrait & dance sessions?
The storybook is an heirloom, professional quality book with a lovely cloth cover and designed with images from your session.
Why are storybooks included with these sessions?
I firmly believe that photographs are meant to be printed and loved, not downloaded to a hard drive and forgotten. These beautiful books put your images in your hands in a format that can be handed down for future generations to treasure.
Do I have to order prints through you?
I do include printing rights and provide you with high resolution files so you can print wherever you choose.
However, you can order directly through the gallery included with your session and I use a lab that caters specifically to professional photographers. You can also rest assured knowing that I personally inspect each print and product for any issues before handing them over to you. This ensures you receive a beautiful, professional quality print you will not find elsewhere.
Please be aware that if you choose to print elsewhere, there is no guarantee from me as to the quality of the product you will receive.
